EnMed Medicine Research Summit Yields 14 Proposals, Top Proposals to Receive up to $30,000 Funding

EnMed Faculty Hosts Inaugural Research Summit, Generating 14 Collaborative Proposals

The EnMed faculty recently hosted the inaugural EnMed Research Summit, resulting in the development of 14 joint research proposals collaboratively authored by investigators from Texas A&M and the Houston Methodist Research Institute. These proposals address four critical areas of biomedical research: cardiovascular disease, oncology, infectious disease, and neurology.

Each submission is currently undergoing independent peer review and scoring. The top three to five proposals will be selected for funding, with awards of up to $30,000 each.

Three EnMed Brown Scholars—Ashley Chuong, Caitlin Sannes, and James Sampson—participated as members of proposal teams at the summit.
