Biomedical Engineering, Texas A&M University 

Mitchell Bonner is from Belton, Texas and graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering with college honors from Texas A&M University in 2025. He earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the same institution in 2026. Bonner is a National Merit Scholar, Craig and Galen Brown Foundation Scholar, and Eagle Scout. During his time in undergraduate and graduate school, he was extensively involved in the Wesley Foundation Methodist college ministry where he served in many leadership roles including council chairman, band leader, and outreach chair. As an engineering intern for Cobalt Product Solutions, Bonner spent a summer helping to design, test, and build novel medical devices. He also worked in Dr. Vanderlei Bagnato’s research lab where he contributed to two publications regarding the use of machine learning to better classify antibiotic-resistant bacteria.

Bonner chose the EnMed program because he is energized by the idea of integrating principles of medicine, engineering, and business to improve people’s lives. He wants to spend his life improving healthcare quality and reach and is excited to approach medicine and the medical technology frontier from a unique engineering perspective in pursuit of this goal. Additionally, he is grateful for the opportunity to learn within the cutting-edge and prestigious Texas Medical Center and Houston Methodist Hospital.

In his free time, Bonner enjoys spending time with his wife, Meredith, and attending activities through his church. His hobbies also include learning and playing different musical instruments, reading about random science or history topics, exploring the outdoors, and playing disc golf.
