Megan graduated in 2014 from Belton High School in Belton, Texas. She was a National Merit Scholar and Captain of the Varsity Swim Team. In 2017, Megan graduated from Texas A&M, earning a B.S. in Biology and a minor in Genetics. In her three years at A&M, she was highly involved in undergraduate research in a genetics lab. After graduation, Megan began work in a research lab at Texas A&M. She works on a Lead Toxicology project that is based off of the Lead Water Crisis in Flint, Michigan. This project is trying to integrate differing genetic backgrounds and the mechanism of lead toxicity in order to better understand the long term effects of high-dose lead exposure on a human population.
