Alexis graduated summa cum laude from A&M in 2007 with a degree in Biomedical Engineering. Alexis was in the Engineering Scholars program and was a finalist for the Brown Foundation-Earl Rudder Memorial Outstanding Student Award for the College of Engineering. She was involved in the Memorial Student Center Council and served as Executive Vice President for two years. After graduating from A&M, she went to medical school at Baylor College of Medicine and graduated in 2011. She received honors in basic sciences and also received the Joseph Barnhart Award for Orthopedic Research. Alexis finished her fellowship in Neuroradiology at Stanford in June 2017 and will be starting as a Radiologist at Kaiser Permanente in Northern Virginia/DC in October. She and her husband had a baby boy at the beginning of August. She stated that her time at A&M was a wonderful experience. At A&M, she received a world class education both inside and outside the classroom that has proved invaluable.
