  • Winner- College of Engineering Project Showcase (1,400 students, 300 engineering design capstone teams) for a remote-controlled surgical light that responds to movement and lighting changes in the OR- patent pending- continued refinement at EnMed​
  • WildOR design kit- phone book –sized surgical kit designed for the world’s most extreme environments, bringing lifesaving surgery in military, disaster, wilderness and humanitarian care missions- includes Adjustable Retracting and Tool- holding (ART) system, enabling enhanced precision, stability of instruments during on-field invasive surgeries​

Reagan Oliphant- M3 EnMed student 

  • Outstanding Senior Engineering Award recipient at Texas A&M ​
  • Developed a 3-D printed cardiac surgery model and curriculum for medical training in low-resource countries- won $50,000 grant to continue, refine and distribute the model ​
  • Albert Schweitzer Fellowship- Senior Fellow- trains next generation of health professionals to serve and empower vulnerable people to build healthier communities and live healthier lives ​
