Brown Scholars Abhinaya Murugandandham, Fouzul Kansul, and Rachel Kurian won 3rd place at Aggie Pitch for their design of Spoon-Track, a medical adherence device for organ transplant patients that tracks medication consumption and flags non-compliance for immediate physician intervention.
Their design was created in response to medication noncompliance, a leading cause of organ rejection in the U.S. that increases healthcare costs over $300M annually.
