Janet graduated in 1996 summa cum laude with a B.S. in Biochemistry and a minor in Spanish. She completed her medical degree at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston in 2001. During her Pediatrics Residency Program at Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital, she was name “Best Pediatrics Resident” and went on to serve as Chief Resident in 2004. She worked as a general pediatrician with Texas Children’s Pediatrics for twelve years. In 2016, she started her own private pediatrics office, Nurture Pediatrics, in her community of Bellaire, Texas where she, her husband Bryan and her two sons Joshua and Nathaniel live. Janet and Bryan serve jointly in various ministries through Crosspoint Church, Casa Buen Samaritano Medical Missions and Peace Gospel Ministries. She believes that her education at Texas A&M not only provided her with an excellent foundation for pursuing her medical education, it also taught her about depth of friendships, school pride and spirit, and the importance of working well as a team. She experienced the true meaning of community.
