Ryan graduated in 2015 from Vista Ridge High School in Cedar Park, Texas. He was a National Merit Scholar, Captain of the Men’s Tennis Team, a leader in the Peer Assistance, Leadership, and Service group, and Head Star Guard his senior year. While attending A&M, he has served as a four year member of the club tennis team and the Biochemistry and Genetics Society, a staff member for MSC Aggie Leaders of Tomorrow, a Director for the MSC Spencer Leadership Conference, and a Co-Chair for Fish Camp. He has researched as a member of the Herman lab in the Biochemistry department, studying a component of cell division in bacteria. In addition, he has worked as an Instructor’s Assistant for Dr. Williamson, holding office hours and review sessions, teaching hundreds of students during his three years of work. His favorite part of his college experience has been how A&M has opened the door to both leading and learning from countless other students, faculty, and members of the community. He will graduate in 2019 with degrees in Biochemistry and Genetics and pursue a PhD in Biochemistry.
