Jennifer graduated in 2018 magna cum laude with a double major in Biochemistry and Genetics, with minors in Classics and Biology. While at Texas A&M, Jennifer was named a Beckman Scholar and was heavily involved with undergraduate research on campus through Undergraduate Research Ambassadors and Biochemistry and Genetics Society. Her research in the Young Lab on bacterial viruses has led to an award for outstanding research in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, published papers, and recognition at national conferences. She loved her time at A&M because of the wonderful friends and mentors she met, as well as the constant support from the people in her department. Jennifer was awarded the National Science Foundation’s Graduate Research Fellowship and is pursuing a PhD in Microbiology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
