Katie graduated from A&M in 2015 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. At A&M, she was named an Addison Wesley/Benjamin Cummings Mechanics Scholar for performing well on a Physics challenge exam. She was named Officer of the Year and was Co-Chair in the Society of Women Engineers for the annual High School Conference, Girl Scout Day, and mentoring programs. She was awarded the recipient of the Craig C. Brown Outstanding Senior Engineering Award for 2015. Katie said, “To me, Texas A&M has meant a bright future founded in an amazing college experience. While there, I have gained not only a new set of technical skills, but also an appreciation for how to treat people well. These have both been through lessons inside and outside of the classroom, from professors and classmates alike. Knowing the technical fundamentals that will get you a job, having the soft skills that will turn that job into a career, and having access to the incredible Aggie Network is a great combination to have in your pocket as you move forward as an adult. Thanks to A&M, I have these and, as naturally follows, a newfound confidence for my future, as well as memories to last a lifetime.”
