Rachel graduated magna cum laude from A&M in 2010 with a degree in Civil Engineering. She received her Master’s in Environmental Engineering from Texas A&M in December 2011. She was on the Dean’s List, part of the Engineering Scholars Program, and a member of Chi Epsilon Honor Society. In the fall of 2011, Rachel will be volunteering with Engineering Ministries International in their Costa Rican office which provides clients with free design services to help them fulfill their visions. She says that she hopes to make an impact in the lives of others as a way of paying forward all that she has been given. Rachel stated that going to A&M has been such a blessing. During her time there, she had many amazing opportunities to grow in so many different areas of her life. She received an education and training that has prepared her to be a successful and professional engineer. She learned a lot about who she is as a person and what she has to offer those around her. She has made friends with people from all different backgrounds and cultures and has learned the value and importance of diversity. She has discovered a passion for working with and serving others. She truly feels that her time at A&M has prepared her to be successful in life, not just in her profession.
