Paul graduated from A&M in 2009 with a double major in Mathematics and Physics. Paul completed an undergraduate honors thesis in the area of experimental particle physics. He represented the College of Science as a member of the Dean’s Student Advisory Panel. He received the Thomas S. Gathright Scholar Award as the top senior in the College of Science in 2009 at A&M. He is pursuing a PhD in Physics at the University of California in Santa Barbara. His research involves searching for new physical phenomena with the CMS detector at the Large Hadron Collider. He stated that his time at A&M taught him to appreciate the ideas and opinions of others. This has served him well not only in scientific collaboration, but also in everyday life. He lives in Goleta, California, with his wife Sarah.
